Are the posts regarding the study cards shown in the Timeline and the comments shown under the study card after pushing the "Learn" button related?  

In the timeline, if there is a study card shown under the post, it means that the post is a comment to the study card.

If you go to the page of the study card with a comment, you can view all comments, including those by other people, posted with regards to the study card.
